I have been in the US for like the last year (on and off on business visa). Being there i came to understand a few things in the way folks there work. Their priority has always been family. They are workaholics but when there is need they give a damn to work and take care of the family.
I have lived in Chennai for he past 30 yrs. I have seen a lot of folks who work day in and day out. What they think is that when someone in the family falls sick they have someone else to take care of them while they can get to work. Since i have seen quite a many people of this sort i also believed that this would be the right thing to do so that my work is not disturbed. Apparently this causes issues where the person who is ill is looking for you to take care of them and not a replacement and hence they are not happy.
Regular occurances of these types of activities mean that in due corse of time folks are going to start disliking you or are going to be unhappy the way you run the family.
Being in the US for the last year has taught me more on how i should run my family and how i should not. I feel happier now that i got this chance to identify the truth and change so that i can lead a happy life.
Note: This is my personal feeling, things can be different from people to people but i believe i know i have done the right thing in changing.

Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is just a Hype on the US side. The falls in comparison to the one on the Canadian Side looks like stream. The Canadian Side of the falls is just way too beautiful. I ended up in Niagara on the memorial day weekend. Hotels/motels were expensive. I am sure it was worth the trip, not to see the falls, but to take a ride in the Maid of the Mist.
It was just too much of an experience to miss. I was just thrilled by the fact that they take you all the way to the Canadian side of the falls and get you back. Once you enter the canadian side you can no longer see the falls, Its just Mist all around. You are all wet (yes they give you a raincoat) but worth the experience.
If anyone is in US or Canada, please make sure you visit the falls to take a ride on that boat.
Way too cool!!!

New Software(s) replacing old ones!!!
When new software(s) are developed that are going to replace old ones that has been used by so many people, shouldn't the updated software have the basic features that were given as part of the original?

Am I all Screwed Up?

Finally i got to read up on the internet to figure out what are the ways in which you can get Stressed out.
There were a few symptoms listed and here they are:
- You have a feeling that is difficult to explain.
- You have only questions, with no definite answers.
- You see several options before you, you see several paths before you, but unable to decide which one is yours.
- The worry and uncertainty of the failure haunts you.
- You are totally confused."
All these are stress symptoms. I just took a minute to think back and see if i had any. I remembered that for the last few years in my life, i seem to have at-least a couple of them.
The list is below:
Physical Factors:
- * Exhaustion
- * Irregular sleep patterns
- * Unbalanced diet and hunger
- * Lack of exercise
- * Stress
- * Medications
- * Alcohol or drug abuse
- * Boredom
- * Daydreaming
- * Overload
- * Fear
- * Guilt
- * Mental Burnout
- * Avoidance
- * Intimidation
- * Lack of motivation.
Well in this list above i seem to have at-least a couple of them from each section. Now comes the big question i have at-least two symptoms in each section, does this mean i am "Screwed up"? Well i guess i already know the Answer to that. What worries me is that with all these problems in place there is nothing much i can do in terms getting back to being normal. Still thinking on what i should be doing to get this right and not able to make a decision at this point. Looks like i am still stressed out :)
